Hi everybody~
As you can see from our title, this is going to be the last ever Forever Friends Challenge. It was a difficult decision to make, but they've decided that it's time to say goodbye to our beloved bears, so they are going to close the challenge blog. On behalf of the entire design team, Tanya and Diane would like to take this opportunity to say a MASSIVE thank you to all our loyal followers, entrants, sponsors, and everyone who has visited us, commented, and supported us through this wonderful journey! We do, however, have some good news -  Tanya, Diane and the entire design team are moving to a brand new challenge blog! Yippee!!!
is the newest weekly challenge blog on the block!
The first challenge will go live on June 1st, and between now and June 30th, we have a fabulous welcome candy going on over there, so please do head over, follow the blog, enter the candy and come back again on June 1st to enter our first challenge!
We're all very excited about this brand new venture :) We have our fantastic design team, some amazing themes lined up, and of course amazing sponsors too! One door is closing, but another amazing door is opening right up.

Smoke meat anyone?

Well I'm back to share what hubby and I did from early this morning, we prepped 150lbs of pork butt(store bought) and made smoke meat. We had the meats cut up this past Thursday evening, had it soaked in our special sauce and today we had it smoked. It took 3 1/2 hours to smoke but prepping it was the longest, we were up wee this morning.  Each strand of meat was hung up with the large paper clips with took (3) boxes of 100 in each one.  Then starting the fire, which we use Ohia wood.  Hubby built this smoke house several years ago, we both use to go feral pig hunting every weekend up on the high elevation of the Hamakua forest.  Sometimes we would hit 1 or 2 pigs and boy that would be the hardest to pack down from the mountains... Hubby would skin it and would have to pack it in burlap bags and hike it down the river banks to get to our truck.... Those were the good old days, we haven't done that in such a very long time, I don't think I can do it now... With him working (6) days a week we don't have that extra curricular time for our weekend sports activities any more... LOL!  Thank God, hehe!!
So here's the outcome of it... We also had two special orders for some friends of ours that have some graduation parties coming up..  This is what's for dinner tonight!  Yummy!
Back of our lot, that is our neighbors house on the opposite side

Cooling off!

My Mimi - his been inquisitive and wants to know

Have a Sun-shiney birthday!

Happy weekend all my crafty friends~ Hope you all have something awesome going on... I have a card I wanted to share and I don't know who to credit this freebie that I got awhile back... I have a poor habit of downloading these freebie digis that I get through FB or from blog sites.  I usually right it on a scratch pad that's on my desk with other notes and compile it with other notes and sooner or later I can't figure out who belongs to what digi. And because they are digital's I file them in one file that's call freebies and don't give it a name.... Anyhow it came with (3) different cute mermaids and they are just adorable... Got the other two colored up but haven't worked on laying it out on my cards yet. Being that it was free, I'm sure I can share it if any of you would want them. Just let me know in my comment section
So here is this first cutie:
